Privacy notice
No licensed attorney has reviewed this notice, and it is not final until one has. Some retention periods below are not confirmed yet, and each says so.
Effective October 21, 2026. This covers the Motorcycle Hot Pad website only. The site sells nothing itself: it has no cart, no checkout, no sign-in and no advertising tag. Every path to buy ends at the Amazon listing.
What we hold about you
This site keeps no database. It holds only what you choose to send through the contact form, and the technical records listed below.
Contact form
- Collected: your name, your email address and your message.
- Where it goes: an email sent from our Microsoft 365 mailbox to the same mailbox, with your address set as the reply-to. A copy stays in that mailbox's Sent Items. The site keeps no other copy.
- Processed by: Microsoft (mail delivery) and Vercel (it runs the server code that sends the email).
- Kept in the inbox: We keep it 90 days and then delete it. An Exchange retention policy applied to this mailbox on October 14, 2026 deletes items after 90 days.
- Kept in Sent Items: We keep it 90 days and then delete it. An Exchange retention policy applied to this mailbox on October 14, 2026 deletes items after 90 days.
Request logs
- Collected: your IP address and the route you requested, whenever you load a page.
- Where it goes: Vercel's hosting logs (Vercel hosts the site). We use them to see errors and abuse.
- Kept: Not yet confirmed. We have not set a period we can state.
Analytics
- Collected: page views through Vercel Web Analytics, and one event named amazon_click each time you press Buy on Amazon, carrying only the page you pressed it on. Both are sent only after you allow Statistics in the consent banner, and neither carries an identifier. If you decline, the analytics script sends nothing. The request logs above are separate and still record your IP address and route.

Bot detection
- Collected: signals from your browser that Vercel BotID uses to tell a person from a script when you send the contact form.
- Consent: not asked for. It is a security control, and a control a bot could switch off by declining would not work.

On your device
Your consent choice and, if you allow Storage, your language setting are kept in your browser's storage. They never reach us. Clearing the site's data removes them, and the "Cookie and storage preferences" control in the footer reopens the choice.
Links to Amazon
The buy buttons open the Motorcycle Hot Pad listing on amazon.com in a new tab. The links are set so your browser sends Amazon no referring page. Once you are on amazon.com, Amazon's own notice governs what it collects, and we do not see it. A link may carry an Amazon Associates tag, a code that identifies this site and not you, which Amazon uses to credit a sale to this site. We are not told who clicked or who bought.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information, run advertising on this site, build a profile of you or ask you to sign in.
